Navigating No Contact: Therapy Group for Adults Experiencing Estrangement
Our "Navigating No Contact" group is a virtual therapy group that meets biweekly at 1pm on Wednesdays.
Those that have experienced loss by choosing to distance or remove themselves from unhealthy or dysfunctional relationships often struggle quietly with waves of grief. Estrangement is misunderstood and assumed to be "the easy way" by those who haven't experienced it, when in reality it''s often the hardest decision a person has ever had to make.
Open to all stages of low or no contact
Topics:
- Difficulty deciding on low or no contact
- Maintaining some, but not all family relationships
- Accepting being the villain in someone else's story
- Re-parenting the self and self-protection
- Chosen family & developing secure attachments
- Navigating societal stigma, judgement, guilt, & shame.
