My name is April L. Graham, LPC. I am a NJ Licensed Professional Counselor. Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients with a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and co-occurring disorders and more. My training allotted me opportunity to tailor interventions to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I have extensive experience counseling and working with at-risk youth, adults in recovery, parolees, and families navigating crisis, and also many professional clients too. In addition, my background includes developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining ethical and HIPAA-compliant documentation for in-person sessions and through digital platforms.

My professional experiences within various agencies has provided me with a wealth of vast knowledge of different systems and agencies.  I earned my MA in Counseling with a specialization in Family, Marriage, and Couples Therapy. I earned my MA from Pillar College. Additionally, I earned my undergraduate degree in English from Kean University and a Social Science degree from Brookdale Community College. It was during my journey through my undergrad where I explored combining the social sciences, psychology & spirituality in treating mental health disorders and other issues. My approach to therapy is integrative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I tailor my sessions to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families, drawing from various modalities to uncover and address  pain, patterns, and trauma.
