Volunteers in Medicine of South Jersey

Volunteers in Medicine (VIM)  is a volunteer-based free clinic for the uninsured and underserved. We provide quality health care and preventative medical services in a caring environment. VIM  opened its doors in 2002 to good people struggling to get by in Cape May County. We will open a second clinic to serve the needs of Atlantic County in the winter of 2017.

The benefits to the community of a clinic such as VIM are important and broad-reaching: by helping people to stay healthy, they are more likely to stay employed and less likely to suffer from chronic illnesses. Patients with no practical experience in “doctoring” can be educated about the proper use of the ER, healthy choices, etc. They can learn to participate in their own health care and subsequently pass this valuable knowledge on to their children. Healthy families create healthy communities and in every way, a healthy community is a better community!

Looking For A Rewarding Experience?
Volunteering with us is a great way to show that you care about the underserved in South Jersey. We need Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Social Worker volunteers to help with registration, scheduling, filing, and data entry. We need greeters and receptionists and even people to help with Fundraising.
